End of the Line for GW
How many people with the amount of quality games coming out the next few months like D&D Online have done everything they can with Guild Wars?
large bank account-check top armor and weapons-check played in a GvG and PvP for a time and enjoyed it while it lasted-check I'll come back to play the expansions in PvE like Sorrow's but other than that there are too many other games worth trying coming out to bother with the same old grind. I got 4 solid months out of GW, enjoyed it, now it's time to try a new challenge. Who else is in this camp? |

That's entirely your choice. It's not like Anet wants you to stay so they can get richer--they just made a good game whose PvE appeals to some and whose PvP appeals to others.
It's just like any other game Play it till you get tired, then move on. |

Lets see...
I'm no where near 1.4 million Plat. I haven't even finished all the missions once with on profession (furthest is Thunderhead Keep), let alone all six. I haven't set foot in the Temple of the Ages maps, thus no where near 75K armor. Umm... Due to the first point, I obviously haven't purchased so call 'perfect' weapons for the insane amount of useless gold they go for... Hmm, I guess it boils down that I have other things to do with my life than play this 24/7... or that I don't get ran through the game for top and armor and cake walk the rest, or by my money off of ebay... etc etc. I'll just be enjoying this game that much longer I suppose. |

P.S. To head off the implications. I "earned" my way through this game, no cakewalk here, I ran my 2 and 3rd chars to amnoon with henchies, not one ounce of help. Every GP I have is from hard work. Last edited by RandySavage; Sep 02, 2005 at 09:56 PM // 21:56.. |

I have about 2k in storage right now, I have 15k armour on one of two characters but with rubbish weapons, and I still love PvP just as much as I ever did (but not as much as I love PvE, hehe).
Plus, I have no money IRL so I can't afford any new games, but that doesn't matter because I don't want any. |

Can't wait until Age of Empires III and Kingdom Hearts 2 comes out. This game is just barely cutting it with me lately.

I have the F.E.A.R demo. It seems like it's going to be a great game but it runs like crap on my computer. I have to switch it to Wolfenstein 3D mode before it gets above 10 fps.

i love guildwars. first off i dont have enough disposable income to purchase games often or pay a monthly fee for a game. guildwars satisfies my thirst for entertainment i have played 4 charaters through the game and have 2 more on there way. i do both pve and pvp and i dont have any money in my storage, but have been able to aquire many good weapons. the game keeps it intrest becasue i dont play the same type of charater all the time each class and specific attribute - down to the skills you choose to use changes how u play the game. ill be playing guildwars and long as they are around!

I'm also bored with Guild Wars... I'll likely only play the new areas they put into the game and the expansion, I feel no other incentive to play the game. Pretty much done everything I've wanted to do in it

Glad but sad to hear, I love GW, wouldn't have played it for 4 months otherwise and if I may say so I'm damn good at both PvE and PvP across 4 chars. It is well worth the money but there are only so many times that you can win HoH and help guildies with PvE before it becomes boring. I think I played longer because I felt that I was helping others more than having fun /advancing my char.

I really don't see how someone can et tired of Guild Wars so easily! There is so much replayablity! You can play with all the Class and Subclass combos.

I'm still playing. Had 8 characters(4 were eventually deleted between levels 16-20). It's not as fresh as it once was, but it is still good fun for me. I've also played for 4 solid months and have logged in so many hours, lol I don't know but it's gotta be around 500+ easy.
I see myself as playing and following with the expansions. I will probably be more balanced of a gamer when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Rome: Total war(Barbarian Invasion) comes out as I have been highly anticipating their arrival. |

i am very happy with GW. mainly the ppl who complain GW has a short lifespan are the ones that play it 10 hours a day. if i get bored i just have a rest off it for a week and then do somethin else. i have never actually finished the game, so i still got plenty to do.

I reckon i'm gonna get bored at 4-5 months of playing. I got my 7 weeks outta it, still goin strong at over 2 months. Still haven't stepped much into mesmer and necro territory, and most useful skills unlocked ofr monk as a subclass so i basically have 3 whole professions to do. Oh yeah...also ain't touched ele much and probably never will cos it's so boring.

I've been playing for almost three months for a couple of hours almost every day and it's still fun, but only when my guildmates are online. We redo the missions and backtrack for bonuses or using alterna characters. I've also had good luck with PUGs so I'm not complaining (though there have been a couple of idiots here and there). I'm not much of a gamer (it's adventure games for me lol!) but I love how I can hang out with my friends and have fun through this game
